This page describes the cookies that appear when you use singaporeactivelife.life. We use one functional preference cookie to remember the banner choice, a PHP session cookie for the enquiry form’s anti-spam check, and — on pages that contain a map — cookies set by Google when its Maps iframe loads. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run a marketing pixel.
A cookie notice sits at the bottom of every page until you make a choice. It is visible by default. It is hidden only after the script reads an existing choice or after you press Accept or Decline. Both buttons write the same cookie, sal_consent, with the value accept or decline. The cookie lasts 12 months, is set for the path /, and uses SameSite=Lax.
The cookie stores only that choice. It does not hold your name, e-mail or enquiry. If you decline, we still hide the banner so it does not return on every page load. Declining does not stop a Google Maps iframe from loading if you open a page that contains one; it only records that you pressed Decline. To avoid map cookies, use the address and MRT notes and do not interact with the map frames. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser.
If you delete sal_consent, the banner returns on the next visit. You can change your mind at any time by deleting the cookie and pressing the other button.
The contact page starts a PHP session so the server can run the anti-spam checks on /send.php. PHP sets a session cookie (usually named PHPSESSID) for the duration of the browser session. The session is used to support that check. The form also posts a hidden timestamp. Posts that arrive faster than three seconds after the timestamp, or later than two hours, are rejected. A filled honeypot field is also rejected. Validated submissions are discarded. The form does not store or forward a copy, and it does not send mail from the server.
Closing the browser normally clears the session cookie. If you do not open the contact page, that cookie is not required for reading the rest of the site.
Every page includes a map in the footer. The contact page also includes a larger map. Both use a standard Google Maps embed for 2 Kallang Avenue, CT Hub, Singapore 339407. The embed is an iframe. The pages do not load a Maps JavaScript API key and do not use Google Maps Platform web components.
When the iframe loads, Google may set cookies on its own domain. Singaporeactivelife does not set those cookies and cannot read or delete them from our server. Their purposes include remembering map preferences and measuring use of the Maps product. Google’s own notices explain their Maps cookies.
To avoid those cookies: decline third-party cookies in your browser, or use a browser setting that blocks frames from google.com. You can still reach us by the address, the telephone number +65 6844 1927, the e-mail [email protected], and the MRT notes (Bendemeer DT23, 6 minutes; Lavender EW11, 9 minutes). The studio is at 2 Kallang Avenue, #06-12, CT Hub, Singapore 339407.
In most desktop browsers you can open the site settings for singaporeactivelife.life and remove cookies for this host. That deletes sal_consent and any PHP session cookie. Map cookies set on Google’s host are cleared from the browser’s Google or third-party cookie list, or by using that browser’s “clear site data” control while viewing a Maps frame. On a shared computer, clear cookies when you finish if you do not want the banner choice to remain.
We do not use the banner choice for advertising. Accepting or declining does not change the training content on the pages. It only records that you saw the notice and pressed a button.
